They might not be the best photos in the world, but at least I got some. I've been meaning to finish this sweater for weeks. You know how it goes, just the buttons to sew on.... Finally, today I did it. After all, there were only three to sew on! So, the sweater had to be worn and the photos couldn't wait another day, despite the temperature. She lasted only a few minutes before complaining of being freezing... poor child. I would take more photos so you can see the whole thing, but this dear fuzzy sweater is now covered in tomato sauce and chocolate milkshake. It already needs a wash. These photos were taken en route to outdoor iceskating and afterwards we grabbed some dinner, hence the sauce and milkshake. Yum. (Make no mistake, we are not iceskaters. We are slip-sliding, noodle-legged, wannabe ice skaters. Hopeless! But it was fun. I actually laughed until I cried.)

Anyhow, back to the knitting! I'll whisper this bit: I nearly died of boredom knitting this sweater. I feel terrible saying that. It wasn't because it was awful, it is a lovely pattern and the yarn is scrummy. But, after the interesting neck was done, it was rounds and rounds of stockinette and it was the SIXTH little sweater/cardigan I'd knit in only a couple of months. I was hankering for something, umm, else.

The pattern is Tama by Kelly Brooker. It's a quick, cute unisex knit, with buttons up the left front raglan. Tess' version has pink sparkly buttons and is a roomy size two. It's a little longer than it probably needs to be, and the sleeves are long too - but it will fit for ages this way. Perfect for a kid's sweater :) 

The candyfloss pink is yarn from the depths of my stash. I bought it about eight years ago I think, with the intention of making Zoë something cute and fluffy when she was one or two, and in love with pink. It's an aran weight, 70/30 lambswool/angora blend by Cleckheaton; Angora Supreme (now discontinued). The fluffy angora is adorable, it's perfect little girl yarn and Tess loves both the texture and the colour. I think secretly I do too.
