Thank you all for of your lovely comments on Jane's fabulous new collection Island! Every one of the patterns was someone's favourite but the cute hat Renfrew and the classic cardigan Grace stood out as really popular. Don't forget you can also buy each of the five patterns from Island individually on Ravelry :)
Anyway, down to business, we've got a winner!
Congratulations Nidhi! She said "Grace! Big cardi fan here, so Grace every time:)"
Let me know your address and I'll wing the book straight out to you :) You can contact me by clicking on the email button at the top of my sidebar or sending me a private message on Ravelry.
Your comments have got me thinking. Since so many of you want to knit Grace, how about a Grace knit along? I'm secretly planning to knit this lovely cardigan in March for Outfit 3 of my Handmade Wardrobe series ... does anyone fancy knitting it with me? I thought we could find yarn and swatch now, cast on on 1 March and aim to cast off by 15 April.
If you're keen, let me know. Oh, go on!!! It'd be so much fun, we could help each other out if we have questions, and I'd love to show off your beautiful Grace's right here at Truly Myrtle :)

Ohmigosh!!! I won:):):):) Thank you so much. Pm-ing you on ravelry:)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Nidhi. Lovely Giveaway. Oh, it would be so fun, but not sure I could knit a cardigan in 6 weeks...
ReplyDeleteWant to try? It really wouldn't matter if it took longer - just would be exciting to eventually wear it :)
ReplyDeleteOh no - how did I miss this?! Congratulations to Nidhi.

Ooh, I'd definitely be up for a cardigan knitalong. The Grace is gorgeous and I'm just pondering my next project having finished the Rowan Audrey sweater (bit disappointed with it so need something to gee me up again)...
ReplyDeleteCool!! There are six of us so far I think :) Pop over to Jane Richmond's Ravelry group to catch up. I'll post more on here about our plans soon :)
DeleteI'd love to knit along if there were knitting machine instructions. Believe me, it would take me as long on a machine as you all can do by hand because I'm not very schooled in either. I can't pick up a dropped stitch to save my life - have to wait for hubby to get home and figure it out for me! I cry when I mess up machine lace and my neighbor just tsks tsks the whole time she's re-knitting a hand knit scarf for me if I make a boo boo. Machine embroidery is another hobby - I have far fewer complications with that but sure wish I could machine knit with less frustration.
ReplyDeleteHi Lib,You have inspired me. I'll knit along to Grace too!! I had better get some wool.
