Episode 63: my perfect cardy Timely & a sewing catch up!

Welcome to episode 63 of the Truly Myrtle podcast!

This week on the podcast I'm chatting about the Truly Myrtle KAL's currently running on Ravelry, my recent sewing successes and my new cardigan pattern, Timely! I'm also drawing a winner for the gorgeous skeins of yarn from Spinning a Yarn ... enjoy!

NEW PATTERN!

I'm so thrilled to finally be releasing this cute cardigan. I first made mine in 2013 and have lived in it. I think it's my most loved knit :)

My new version; Timely uses beautiful Daintree yarn from Skein; a merino/silk/bamboo blend. It's drapey and cool and perfect for in-between and summer weather. I've striped mine with a gloriously wild variegated yarn and a soft semi-solid neutral and the effect is stunning.

You can grab the pattern with a 15% discount this weekend with the code TIMELY - just enter it at the checkout in Ravelry. The code will be valid until midnight, Sunday 11 June 2017.

I'm so excited to also let you know that Kristen from Skein has developed a bunch of colour combos for the Timely Cardigan! She has a huge update of yarn today and you can either choose a combination that she's put together or make one up yourself!

I can't wait to see what stripes you create!

SEWING!

I've made several new bits: Maya dress, Esme Tunic and a Lou Box top

Next on my list is the Fielder Dress with fabric I bought from Miss Matabi.

KALS

Fancy knitting with friends? Come join in a Truly Myrtle KAL!

The Midwinter Bash KAL is underway in the Budding Designers Downunder group and a Pearl KAL is getting started in the Truly Myrtle Ravelry group.

You're more than welcome to join either, there are some amazing prizes! Just hop over :)

UPCOMING

I'm heading off to Woolfeast in Christchurch next week. Will I see you there? Come say hi and try on all the shawls :)

I've been getting lots of lovely comments about my theme tune lately. The song "Casting On" is written and performed by the very fabulous NZ group Mr Roberelli. All their songs are catchy and fun. We've got all the albums for our kids. They're neat to keep everyone happy on car rides!
